As a person who has endured a life long battle with severe clinical treatment-resistant Major Depressive Disorder I often feel marginalized by people who talk about depression like it is something that can be easily handled with things like diet, exercise, positive thinking, and maybe some Cognitive Behavioral Therapy if it’s really tough. But the truth is that whether you are dealing with a clinical MDD, or the much more common depression, dysthymia, or the blues, there can be no disputing the fact that a nutritious diet that is low in sugar and processed foods, as well as daily physical activity or regular exercise is extremely important. The girl in this video seems to really get it, so I thought I’d share it with you. No matter how severe your depression gets you need to eat right and be active. I know it’s hard to do. I am not doing so well in this area myself, but we have to do this to break depression!
